Amanda teaches meditation and mindfulness in a way that both honors tradition and encompasses today’s need for mind, body, and spirit integration.
She believes meditation is the tool to live a fuller healthier life from a place of being connected to our true selves and our essential nature. Through over 12 years of contemplative practice, and a daily Vedic mantra meditation practice she teaches from her own experience, studentship, and love for the many effects meditation has on our daily life.
Amanda is a Certified Meditation Instructor in Primordial Sound Meditation and is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-based Eating Awareness. She was Center Director for The Aging Metabolism and Emotions Center at UCSF, running and publishing clinical research on the biological and psychological affects of mindfulness and meditation and currently collaborates on contemplative research. She is also the Founder of The Daily Practice Organization, an online mindfulness-based platform providing access to resources on meditation, mindfulness, and the science of meditation.
Her classes are full of insight, inspiration, philosophy, scientific research, and a call for living our most optimal lives through the support of a daily meditation practice.
