Eddie Marashian has been a yoga and meditation teacher in Los Angeles for over 19 years. Yoga enthusiasts and beginners alike embrace his modern approach to this ancient discipline. He is renowned for his group and private classes as well as his national and international workshops and retreats. Eddie teaches a Tantric form of meditation that incorporates pranayama, kriya, mantra japa and guided visualization. In other words, he starts with breath work, incorporates an energetic technique to circulate consciousness through the body and ends with the repetition of a mantra. This creates a fairly active form of meditation which is rooted in the idea that we use the mind to overcome the mind. Eddie apprenticed for three years under nationally renowned Yoga Master, Rod Stryker, and is classically trained in the ISHTA School of Yoga. He has taught everywhere from Yoga Zone to Golden Bridge Yoga and Equinox Fitness. His work has been featured on Good Morning America, Julib.com, Yogi Times, Angeleno, Genre, More, Ms. Fitness, and Self Magazine. Eddie has a B.A. degree in Anthropology from Columbia University and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
